Younger sister of the European Causeway, the European Highlander is a freight ferry to and from Nortern Ireland that operates on our Larne-Cairnryan route shipping service. This freight ship was one of the first purpose built in Japan just for this route and has been running since 2002. With a headroom clearance of 5.20m, she can travel at speeds of up to 23 knots, which makes her one of the fastest ferries on the Irish Sea, carrying tourist and freight passengers.

Our Larne to Cairnryan ferry, built in 2000, the vessel has the capacity to carry 107 x 13.5m freight units.
