Dangerous Goods

We are able to ship most classes of dangerous goods on our ferry routes, and have dedicated, freight-only vessels for this purpose.

All hazardous shipments must comply with the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code which differs from the ADR agreement (AKA, the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).

For transport by sea all dangerous goods, irrespective of quantity, must be declared. All dangerous goods must be accompanied by a Dangerous Goods Note (DGN). The driver is responsible for ensuring the correct paperwork accompanies the load.

For further information on the IMDG code, please visit the Hazcheck website.

For bookings or operational questions, please contact the relevant port.
